Day Camps
Centered at the Chico Creek Nature Center in the heart of Bidwell Park, Camp Chico Creek is an environmental education-based day camp for children 5 to 11 years old. The programs are designed to provide outdoor recreation activities and foster awareness of nature in a fun, safe, and caring setting. Themes covering the park's habitats and its natural and cultural history are presented to the campers during each session. SPRING SESSION: MARCH 15, 16, 17, 18, 19Monday - Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm Full Day Sessions, 8:00am to 4:00pm. Cost is $110. Half Day Sessions, 8am to Noon or Noon to 4:00pm. Cost is $60. This camp theme is: BIRDS of BIDWELL PARK Bidwell Park and surrounding Butte County are host to over 300 species of birds. In spring, birds get busy building nests and raising babies, or migrating. Campers will explore the bird habitats inside beautiful Bidwell Park and learn about the songbirds, waterfowl, and raptors that call the Park home. Planned activities include; group discussions, live animal presentations, craft projects, nature hikes, outdoor activities, and interactive games. Campers will take a snack break + lunch.
