We're "Building Nature's Classroom"...one brick at a time!

In addition to the brick and paver program, a number of giving and naming opportunities are still available for individuals and/or organizations who wish to leave a more substantial legacy for our Park and community:

Description of Giving & Naming Opportunities:

Interpretive Center Exhibit Hall $50,000 (Already acquired)
This sponsor will name the Interpretive Center. A plaque, with wording designed by the sponsor and Nature Center staff, will be placed over the facility's main entrance.

Kristie's Nature Lab $35,000 (Already acquired)
This environmental classroom allows K-6th grade students to expand their Park knowledge with hands-on activities that reinforce the lessons offered to them on interpretive hikes. The room will be equipped with projecting microscopes and an interactive mural. Mark and Candy Priano are the sponsors for this classroom, named in memory of Kristina "Kristie" Priano, who enjoyed volunteering at the Nature Center.

Lab Equipment $25,000
This sponsor will provide essential lab equipment that includes, but is not limited to, projecting microscopes and retractable screens, computers, lab supplies and locking cabinets. This sponsor's name will be engraved on gold-colored plates placed on workstations in the lab.

Walkway Dedication (Phase 2) $25,000
This sponsor will have the covered walkway dedicated to the person of their choosing. An attractive, all-weather plaque will display the dedication within the walkway.

Amphitheater Dedication (Phase 2) $25,000
This sponsor will have the outdoor amphitheater dedicated to the person of their choosing. An attractive, all-weather plaque will display the dedication near the amphitheater entrance.

Sponsor an Exhibit Thematic Component $15,000 each
These sponsors will support thematic components of the Interpretive Exhibit such as: Geology, Mechoopda History, etc. Each sponsor's name will be displayed near or within the chosen theme's portion of the Exhibit.

Interactive Mural $15,000 (Already acquired)
This sponsor will have their name placed on an exquisite plaque next to the mural in "Kristie's Nature Lab." The sponsor will have input as to the size, content, and placement of the plaque. An example of the type of interactive mural for consideration is on Page 6.

Native Plant Supporter $10,000
Sponsors at this level will have their names displayed at eye level on artistic depictions of native plants in our Donor Tribute displayed in the Interpretive Center (Tucker Hall).

Wildflower Supporter $5,000
These sponsors will have the names of their choice displayed individually on colorful depictions of wildflowers in our Donor Tribute displayed in the Interpretive Center (Tucker Hall).

Nature Center Benches $2,500 per bench (limited offer)
Sponsors will provide information to be engraved on gold plates to be mounted on a bench on the Chico Creek Nature Center grounds.

Exhibit Hall Centennial Club $1,000
Sponsors will have their names placed on leaves of a large depiction of a tree in our Donor Tribute, displayed in the Interpretive Center (Tucker Hall).

Aspen Club for "Kristie's Nature Lab" $1,000
Sponsors will have their names placed on 6" stars displayed near the ceiling in the Nature Lab.

Pavers for Outdoor Patio and Pathways (limited availability)
These bricks will pave the front entrance to both the Interpretive Exhibit and Nature Lab. Donors can buy a paver to show support or in memory of a loved one. 4x8 bricks are $150, 8x8 pavers are $250 and 8x8 pavers with corporate logos are $350. See "Buy a Brick" page for more details.
