The theme for this session is “Birds of Bidwell Park.” Campers will learn about the songbirds, waterfowl, and raptors that call Bidwell Park home. Planned activities include; live animal presentations, craft projects, nature hikes, group discussions, outdoor activities and interactive games. Centered in the heart of Bidwell Park, Camp Chico Creek is an environmental education-based day camp for children ages 5 to 11 years old. The program provides outdoor activities and fosters awareness of nature in a fun, safe, and caring setting.Chico Creek Nature Center’s Camp Chico Creek encourages respect for Bidwell Park, its animals, and its visitors. Exhibits will be installed in the CCNC\\\'s new building later this month. Help to prepare for the exhibits arrival by cleaning inside the building or by making the grounds ready for the grand opening in late March. Come anytime between 10 am and 3 pm. "Bloomin’ Bidwell Park" • Wednesday, March 24, , 10:00-11:00am In Spring, Bidwell Park comes alive with carpets of multicolored flowers. Are all those flowers just for us to enjoy? Why do plants go to the fuss of making them? We will talk about flowers, go for a short walk to see what’s blooming, make our own flowers, and meet our lop-eared rabbit. Preschool workshops are designed for children 3-5 years old. The cost is $10 per child. Space is limited to 15 children. Children must be accompanied by an adult during the program.
