1. Why is CCNC now offering bricks and pavers? The bricks and pavers will literally pave the way for the construction of the new Chico Creek Nature Center. Money from the sale of bricks and pavers will allow CCNC to break ground in May 2007.

2. Where will the bricks and pavers be placed? Bricks and pavers will be laid in the patio at the entryway to the Nature Center.

3. When will the bricks and pavers go in? Our construction schedule calls for placement in spring of 2008. Because of the heavy equipment used during construction, placement of these recognition bricks will be one of the finishing touches.

4. What are the sizes and prices? Bricks measure 4” x 8” and are $150 each. Pavers measure 8” x 8” and are $250 each. Pavers with corporate logos are $350.00. All brick and paver purchases include a free, one-year family membership to Chico Creek Nature Center – a $35.00 value!

5. What do they look like? They look great! Bricks and pavers are high-quality, clay bricks with a smooth surface. Your inscription is engraved and then filled with black epoxy for readability and long life.

6. What can I write and how long can the inscription be? You can inscribe anything you like, as long as it is family-appropriate and fits in the allotted space: Bricks can have up to 3 lines of 20 characters (letters, spaces and punctuation count as characters). Pavers have space for up to 5 lines of 20 characters. You can use any characters on the keyboard. Consider using “&” instead of “and” to save space. Corporate 8”x8” pavers include 1 to 4 lines in addition to corporate logo (please provide “camera ready” copy of your logo and preference regarding placement of text and logo on the 8”x8” paver).

7. Can I include a company logo in my inscription? Yes, on the 8”x8” paver size only. Pavers with company logos are $350.00 each.

8. What if I want to change the text on my brick or paver? You can make any changes up until we place the order with the manufacturer. Once that order is placed, we will not be able to make any changes, but you are welcome to purchase an additional brick. For more information, please email info@bidwellpark.org.

9. Can I buy multiple bricks and/or pavers? Of course! However, the website will only allow you to buy one brick. You may order multiple bricks by contacting the Nature Center directly via email at info@bidwellpark.org.

10. Can my two bricks or pavers be placed together? We are sorry to say we cannot offer specific placement.

11. Is my gift tax deductible? Your brick and paver donation is tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. The Chico Creek Nature Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. The Chico Creek Nature Center's tax identification number is 68-0341188.

12. Will there be a map created so I can find my brick and paver? Yes, a map at the Discovery Center will let you quickly find your brick or paver.

13. What happens after I order? Orders placed on-line will immediately receive a transaction confirmation by email. Orders received by mail or made in person at the Chico Creek Nature Center will receive a confirmation letter within 30 days.

14. How long will bricks and pavers be available? As long as supplies last. We anticipate that all of the bricks and pavers will be taken within the first 3 months of our campaign.

15. Who is Kintera? Kintera is a marketing infrastructure service provider offering advanced Internet fundraising solutions to charitable, educational and political organizations. Chico Creek Nature Center has contracted with us to provide online support for the "Love the Park, Buy a Brick" program. Through the website you can buy a brick or paver, encourage family and friends to buy bricks, and more.

16. What is unique about this website? The Kintera technology offers the capability for individuals to not only buy a brick/paver, but also to encourage family and friends to engage through a much more efficient mechanism.

17. Is my information secure? Yes. We have made every effort to protect your information. Kintera, which processes the credit card transaction when someone buys a brick, uses industry standard SSL encryption techniques to make sure that your credit card information, passwords, and personal information travel securely over the Internet. Kintera has also installed an encryption engine on their database server so that your data is securely stored.

18. I forgot my Username and Password. How can I find out what they are? Remember that your username and password are case sensitive. Click here to find your password.
